our process

Our goal is to capture your lifestyle with creativity and understanding of your vision for the project. Our guiding principles help us to do just that! From one-room solutions to full design plans, the steps below were created for an open and collaborative design experience. At each step in the process, JRD will work hard to make sure your dream becomes a reality, all the while keeping your budget in mind.

step 2

Concept Design Time

Taking your initial ideas to a fully-designed concept usually takes 2-4 weeks, depending on the scope of the project. .

Space Design

Window treatment, furniture placement, paint colors, floor coverings, cabinetry, built-in's, lighting, and accessories. We'll provide a concept/mood board(s) that captures a visual concept of what the space  will look when completed.

New Construction/Remodeling

From the ground up, or taking it all apart, we will

begin with space planning, architectural detailing, selection of furnishing, illumination, window

treatment, cabinet and hardware, flooring, tile, and countertops. Through meetings showroom visits, mood boards and shopping adventures we will begin the selection process to determine the perfect design for you!

step 1

Onboard Meeting

This is a one-on-one meeting to determine budget, timeline and your vision for the project. We will discuss all aspects of the job, including your personal tastes and lifestyle, color palettes, furniture and how your existing items may be blended into the design. This initial meeting normally takes about two hours.

step 3

After the designs have been approved and the proposal accepted we will start placing orders and handling all aspects of the project, while keeping a close eye on your budget and managing the timeline. With each step, you will be well-informed of where we are in the process.

step 4

Installation day usually takes 2/4 days, depending the size of the project. Installation of furniture, window treatment, accessories placed, art in installed. All the while waiting for the big reveal of your "ahh", and "wow's"!!!
